My Session

Windows 11 Shared PCs done right: Secure, fast, and low-touch with Intune

Design and implement a practical Windows 11 Shared PC baseline with Intune for sign-in, applications, updates, and security. The result: shared devices that remain fast, are compliant, and are a pleasure to use in everyday situations.

Shared Windows PCs are everywhere: frontline environments, training rooms, labs, conference rooms, call centers, and kiosk-style scenarios. Without a well-thought-out configuration, however, these devices quickly turn into slow, cluttered, and difficult-to-secure systems—especially with multiple users, shift work, and limited local IT access.

In this session, you’ll learn how to design and manage a Windows 11 Shared PC configuration with Microsoft Intune. We’ll translate the Shared PC concept into a reusable blueprint, including identity options (local or Entra sign-in), account and profile management, storage cleanup, app distribution (Win32, MSIX, and Store), essential policy settings, update strategies, and security hardening without negatively impacting the user experience.

You can count on a hands-on walkthrough with practical tips, common pitfalls, and proven patterns for issues specific to shared environments, such as outdated profiles, unnecessary disk usage, login loops, OneDrive and Teams behavior, and misapplied policies.
